The clasp on this barrette is surprisingly sturdy for such a delicate-looking piece, and the milk glass has that lovely soft vintage glow the photos promised. Even my fine hair stays put all day.
I was a little nervous about the sizing, but the 1" x 2.5" overall footprint is perfect for my fine hair — it holds without slipping. The cellulose acetate has a lovely weight to it, not flimsy at all. The vintage butterfly detail is even more delicate in person.
The gold French clasp feels sturdy and secure, and the cellulose acetate has a lovely smooth finish that doesn't snag my hair. It's smaller than I expected but sits perfectly on a side part, giving any outfit that little vintage touch.
